    '67 stang, need small subs, 6" 7"

Ok Im working now on a restored 67 mustang fastback, hot car, The fastback refers to the rear seat which falls down flat so you can laydown and view up through the rear glass. There is a rear trunk access panel visible when the seat folds down. I was going to build a fiberglass replacement for...

Electric Fan is great Sound deadener?

look into aftermarket fan replacements, not electric, it may also be the fan clutch that has a bad bearing or something, you could slap some dynamt extreme (just b/c of the heat) under the hood and on the firewall, that should keep the engine noise down. Yeah electric is sweet, if you have a...

    Stock Head Unit Question

yea what he said. your ignition will have 3 wires, its not smart to be cutting and adding wires to them, but on many cars there are sometimes accesory fuse spots that will only turn on when the car is on, that is actually how ive rigged up most of my smaller accesories when i do installs.

    Stock Head Unit Question

all a remote is is a positive line, so if it gets current its on, run a switch in line with what you did, that will act as a (loud) button persay, just remember to turn it off when the car is off

I just finished this install for a friend i know abahn, but he wanted to go cheap, its a dual chamber fiberglass box, the carpet still needs to have some slack cut out and more glue. edges

use a long ruler, or what i use a chalk line. any excess is your measurment problems. and he was helping you by stating that an overlapp doesnt help. remeber its all about the seal, mdf is really strond even at tight angles, it wont make a difference if it has a 1/2 inch overlap or none at all...

Coating the inside of fiberglass boxes?

oh there is plenty of braces. I made ribs (6) the outermost two were solid triangular to create a better seal rather than going to points. from the side the back mdf is set at around 65-70 degrees. I can stand on it (120lbs) and it doesnt even make a creak, Im not too worried about how rigid it...
