Sounds like that would be a PITA to do lololol. I googled all night for ELD on a Hyundai and the only thing I saw that control voltage is the PCM on these cars. To bypass that you still need to give it a power source somewhere. Cuz the PCM controls way more than just regulating the alt.

So is there a way to fix the problem so my amps are seeing 14V? I was planning on adding a second battery but idk if that would even help cuz of the shunt resistor? Any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

Okay cool. I was worried cuz of this stupid engineering of PCM controlled alts that the big 3 wouldn't do much. My knowledge on electrical tho tells me otherwise power takes the path of least resistances so it should improve even with a PCM.

I think I answered my own question. after researching PCM controlled alts this is the conclusion i've made when i turn the head lights on or heater on in the car the volts jump from 12.5 to 14.3 cuz at that point the alternator kicks on cuz its sending a signal to the ECU that the alternator...

Yeah more research I did it appears that people with PCM alts are having the exact same issue low voltage with accessories off with big 3 and once they turn accessories on like headlights or heater the voltage goes normal in the 14.3-14.7 range.

It does appear that I do have a PCM alt I just did some research on a lot of Hyunadis and all of them have it. I was just reading up on bypassing them but would that even be ideal?
