This may be more for the peeps that own one, but the amp comes with and has two terminals for speaker connections. The Question I have is: I have 2 dual 4 ohm subs wired to 4 ohm. so obviously I only have one + and one - terminal. Do I bridge the two connections together or only use one...

Whats the preamp Voltage on your headunit.. vs.. what you have selected on at the amp? You can be clipping without noticable distortion On a side note..start the vehicle with the system off and see if you can smell it turn your heat on too..may have antifreez leak. It has a sweet smell and...

It's not possible for both sides to fail at at the same time. I would start back with the amp as suggested and then to the HU. You have a signal source problem.

So in reality you are fusing the wire, just at a lower Amperage which is safer as they will pop earlier, but if you have a ground it's gonna pop a 150a fuse just as fast as a 50A fuse within few millisecs that is.

I think Im a bit overkill when it comes to fusing, I have a fused batt terminal at 350A on 0/1GA and then a fused Distro block with 150A(sub) 4ga / 60A (mids) 4ga. But then again, I like my car and dont want to see it go up in smoke!
