    Sony CDX-U303 / 10 Disc Changer

Hey all... I just picked up a Sony CDX-U303 and went to install it. The install (all 3 wires) went simply, but I haven't mounted it yet -- The reason being is that I can't get it to play a CD for the life of me. It pulls the CDs out of the cartridge just fine (although I have had a few get...

How did I cook my MTX Thunder 6000 10"?

I'm hoping someone can help me solve the mystery as to why my MTX 10's just blew up on me....I have 2 Thunder 6000's, and they are being pushed by a Rockford Punch 800.2, and are 4 ohm subs (so they're being pushed ~200w each i believe). Sunday night I noticed my battery meter on my car going up...

    Rockford 800.2 / 2 10" MTX Thunder 6000s

I just picked up the Rockford Punch 800.2 and 2 10" MTX Thunder 6000's. The subs are 4 ohm and do 250 rms/500 peak i believe, and they are wired directly from the amp (L+/L- to left, R+/R- to right), so they should be being pushed at 200x2 if I'm reading correctly. I don't know what's going on...

    Rockford Punch 800.2/MTX Thunder 6000 10's

i played with the gains and it just isn't sounding tight enough. could it possibly be because i have only 6 screws in instead of 8 holding the speakers down? it's almost like a flutter sound i'm hearing when the bass hits...could it possibly be a problem with the box itself? i'm pretty sure i...

    Rockford Punch 800.2/MTX Thunder 6000 10's

I guess you'd say they were wired in series -- L+/L- to left, R+/R- to right. I didn't mess around with briding they or anything yet, as the amp's manual said it'd put out 2x200 at 4 ohms, and 2x400 at 2 ohms....I'm still hearing the breakup though.

I don't know what's going on with them however, unless they...
