dumb question about rear vs sub RCAs

wow.. you guys are complete a$$holes. I will admit that shredder knows what he is talking about, but boomin_tahoe just seems like a complete idiot that likes to jump in and say "ya! what that other guy said! see? your an idiot for thinking anything different!" you guys are making me . I...

dumb question about rear vs sub RCAs

you and whoever else have already drilled this in.. I realize midbass in the back is not ideal.. but i am going to install them before my sound deadening *soundskins* rolls arrive to see if you were right about the midbass on the front doors alone. All i need to do to test this is disconnect...

speaker rms power handling after bandpassed

I find it very interesting that a handful of websites talking about audio installations never really mention deadening the doors like this. I will definitely have to do this for my front and rear access cab doors to see if i can hear the difference. I really appreciate your help on this subject!

dumb question about rear vs sub RCAs

so i guess with that being said, i can connect my rear speaker RCAs from my head unit to use the HU crossover for High pass, then set my low pass on the rear speakers amp channels. If i had to use my Sub amp pre-amp outputs, id have to use something like this before connecting the RCAs to the...

speaker rms power handling after bandpassed

that looks very well constructed! Ill have to do something like that for myself. out of curiosity, do you have anything behind the door speakers?

ok thank you, that perfectly answers my question.

speaker rms power handling after bandpassed

i appreciate your idea for deadening the front door, but whats with the last comment about bridging the fronts? I will never want/need to do this to these specific fronts being they are plenty loud enough each connected to individual channels. My fronts are 4 ohms and this 4 channel amp is...

speaker rms power handling after bandpassed

wow that is pretty cool. Ill have to buy some of that and cut to fit, thanks for the video! I will also be removing the small amount of polyfill i put behind my fronts as to not cause a terrible smell when water leaks down in the future =P. I had heard that about polyfil in the doors before...

dumb question about rear vs sub RCAs

I know this, but that is not what i am asking. let me rephrase my question for better understanding. If I had my head unit crossovers and AMP crossovers set to ALL PASS, would there be any music that would fade front front to back in the middle of the song? I know that some songs fade between...

speaker rms power handling after bandpassed

I will have to try putting more polyfill in the front door behind my 6x9 composite speakers (as to not be in the way of the window sliding down). I have no need to bridge my 4 channel amp since i am running 150 watt RMS fronts with 150 watts RMA amp per channel. The fronts are plenty loud...

dumb question about rear vs sub RCAs

Does anybody have the answer to this question? Please, no more opinions about my setup and how nobody uses rear speakers or how midbass should be in the front and not the rear.

dumb question about rear vs sub RCAs

I am not trying to make it sound like i know everything about what i am doing, that is the reason i came to this forum *to ask questions*. Honestly though, based on your responses in a separate thread, your knowledge seems to be lacking. Rather than trying to helpfully answer my original...

speaker rms power handling after bandpassed

i was never (not a single time) arguing that midbass wouldnt be better in the front. You are right, this has been covered and i have agreed to the above. I have already installed my 6x9 composites in the front (which have very ****** midbass response below 125hz). I am not going to buy a...

speaker rms power handling after bandpassed

my system sounds perfectly fine with my composite fronts and single 10" sub currently, but id rather cross the sub down from 100hz to 80hz and have these earthquakes fill in from 80hz. a subwoofer will struggle more if you are trying to play up to 125hz while thumpin anything below 80hz at full...
