Do you have a dmm to check voltage? also did you check the amp turn on wire? you can run a small piece of wire from the + on the amp temporarily to check turn on assuming you are getting voltage from power wire.

Opps I just re-read your post and see you already checked fuses.

Did you check the fuse inline on the power wire near the battery? If you do not have a fuse, put one in immediately or risk burning your camry to the ground.

$50/hr is a reasonable rate. It seems like a lot but consider the shop has all of the overhead such as rent, electric, insurance, employee salary etc

Sundown recommends 35hz so as you mentioned 35 too, use that. Sub and port facing back is correct in most trunk applications. As far in front of the port or opposite end, I have not heard of anyone say there is a difference. If you think about a box that has 2 subs and an L port, one is towards...

The displacement is on Sundown's site, you just need to look under the Enclosure Recommendations for the SA series. It states: Displacement - 0.08 ft^3 per sub. Recommended box size Sealed- 0.28 ft^3 per sub and Ported -0.5-0.75 ft^3 @ 35hz per sub.

I've mounted them in the trunk, under the dash, and in the doors. never had an issue with them in any location. some have had issues with them in the door from water though so put them inside the car where ever is most convenient for you.

^ i have turn off pop on an amp too, put another in and no pop. weird thing is i installed the popping amp in another car and it does not pop:crazy: really wish i knew why it did in 1 car and not the other

That box is too big at 2 ft^3 gross and even after port area, displacement, bracing etc still being way more than Sundown specs say Ported 0.5-0.75 ft^3 @ 35hz and from what I have read say not to go any larger that. Others in here would be better at giving you a good box design than me.

Have you thought about using 1 amp per side and then add a 2 channel amp for the 3.5s?

check that your ground is secure and the area is stripped down to the metal.

besides the hu equalization, how did you set the amp's crossovers?

how is the sub wired? it's a dual voice coil 2 ohm each, correct?
