    New, Upgraded System.. Less Quality??

I apologize, it is the KDC-X302. I can definitely cut the splitter out and run one solid wire from there if it may help, it just looks like a simple splitter, nothing technical. Worth a shot though! I agree on going with components instead of the single speaker system but would the additional 3...

    New, Upgraded System.. Less Quality??

I have a 1997 LeSabre with a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X30 head unit and Hertz Audio 5.25" in front and Hertz 6x9 in rear deck. This system just recently replaced a cheap-o Dual head unit with stock Concert Sound II speakers. It sounded okay, but the drivers side speaker didnt work (later found out it...

    What would you do?

I have a 1997 Buick LeSabre with the Concert Sound II and ever since I got the car about 6mos. ago, the left front door speakers didn't work. Each door appears to have a component and tweeter. It has a cheap Dual head unit in it but I plan on putting in my Kenwood Excelon KDC-X998. I am...

    What's your choice for 6x9?

I recently discovered my Infinity Kappa 6x9's are having their cone frozen in the cold and producing less than stellar sound quality. Also, while investigating what was causing bad quality, I managed to almost rip a dome tweeter's cap off of one of the speakers. That being said, what is a good...

Cold on door speakers... Big effect?

After investigating, I have found my problem: my left side door speaker's (Infinity Kappa 6x9's) cone appear to be frozen in the cold weather ( It sounds as though Infinity door speakers have this problem of freezing cones in frigid weather. Has anybody else had this problem?

Does all 4 speakers sound that way or a couple of them?

Cold on door speakers... Big effect?

I have had a problem lately (posted originally in another thread) with my left side speakers being quiet in the cold. I'm not asking for solutions to my own problem, I'm just asking for answers to a question... Do door speakers (Infinity Kappa 6x9's, in my case) get quieter in extreme cold? My...

Sound suddenly got quieter on left side?!

I have done troubleshooting. I can't seem to figure out if it's a grnd. problem or not. Also, I posted this, more or less, with hoped that other people have had the problem and can give a little guidance as to their solution. Have a good day.

Sound suddenly got quieter on left side?!

I have discovered that the speakers, on the left, are sometimes quiet and sometimes normal. There appears to be no pattern as to when it happens. But, once they're quiet, or normal, they remain that way until the car is turned off. Anybody ever have this problem?

Sound suddenly got quieter on left side?!

I don't have an amp hooked into it. It's HU to speakers.

Sound suddenly got quieter on left side?!

I have checked aux, tuner, and CD... They all do it. And what could be grounding that would cause drop in voltage on BOTH left side speakers?

Sound suddenly got quieter on left side?!

No sir, I don't have any kids and my car was locked the entire day. Plus, I checked the bal and fade. Both at 0. Could it just be the left channel amplifier in the HU is blown?

Sound suddenly got quieter on left side?!

My car has an aftermarket HU (KDC-397, the Excelon version) and it has sounded great until today. I drove to work and all the speakers sounded fine and when I left work, the front and rear LEFT speakers both appear much quiter than the RIGHT side speakers. All speakers still play, but the left...

Need some opinions other than my own!

So, before I begin the install in the next couple of days... It is, in fact, possible to tap into rear Monsoon speakers with a simple LOC to allow RCA input for subwoofer amp?
