Im using 4 gauge, its the highest you can use on the 1000/1, its going from my hood to my trunk so probably a good 10ft

bad connections where though? ive checked them all they all look perfect to me. The fuse isnt cheap i got it at a car audio store, the brand is IXOS and its a 100a fuse

Ok i just installed a 1000/1 and 2 12" JL W6v2's, got a brand new optima red top, and a new 100a fuse and fuse holder. It bumped great for about 24hours then they cut out all of asudden, i check under the hood and the actual plastic case surround my fuse melted, so not the fuse holder, its not...

They are wired parallel, the positive and negative from each terminal is connected to each of the subwoofer outputs, im not sure the preamp voltage on my deck, ive had the same Alpine for like 6 years, anyway of know how to check?

I just got done hooking up my new system consisting of a JL 1000/1 and 2 12" W6v2 subs. I also just got a brand new optima red top. I was installing my brand new pair of W6v2's and the screw broke and the screwdriver went into the outer foam, is it completely done? Ive heard of glues and adhesives and all that but does it work? Any help at all on the subject would be great

Ive been looking at the diagrams for how to wire these subs and for some reason its confusing the shit out of me. I hooked up my last system with no problems but this V2 makes things seem different. So i need help on exactly how to connect the wires on my subs, whether or not to do it in series...

I wanted a sealed dual 12" box built to the specs listed on the JL website for a pair of 12"W6v2's. Im also looking for a 1000/1 amp.

Seems like they would charge alot if you did it that way and i might get ripped off
