Hey, I just purchased a new HU and after I installed it I noticed my rear speakers would not work. I tripled check my wireing / fuses / speakers...everything and cant find any way to make them work. So I believe that the amp in the new HU is bad. Does anyone know of any way to check this?

Hey, I was wondering if you can leave the grill off of 6x9 speakers, the reason I ask it because the speakers I got, with the grill I would need to do some cutting of the rear cover to make them fit. and if I leave the grill off, they fit perfectly....So can I leave it off?

Ok, And there is also a orange wire coming from the adaptor that is not connected to anything..

Yeah, The red wire was the only one that looked wrong because it was a slightly different shade of red. I have a 03 Grand Am. And where is this fusebox?

Ok, So I did my HU install today and when I finished ( I think ). It wouldnt even power up after I turned on the car power... Here is what it looks like... Back of New HU Inside Shelf...What are the two cords not in use?? The wire connecting...All of them are connected to the right...

If that doesnt help, I will put a picture of mine up tommorrow when I start working on it

lol, i just have a pontiac grand am, not an escalade or a BMW, the HU removal / replacement should be a real easy fix

Hello, I am just starting my first car audio project on my first car. I just got a 2003 Pontiac Gram Am GT. I didn't like the stock HU so I went and searched forums and online for the best HU and I came to this one.... Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X693 I also read that I need this stuff to go with it...

Also, Will the rear speakers set-up work with aftermarket HU, stock front speakers and aftermarket rear? I have no idea how speakers / wireing work...so will all that work together?

Isnt distortion bad for the speakers? I heard thats how I blew the stocks, by having the bass too high

Im fine with 6x9's prob going to go full with the audio in a little but for now that will work.. Also, Will that HU power the speakers fine?
