2006 Chevy Aveo Start to Finish Thread

Hello All: I'd like to thank those of you who gave great advice to me on my very first project, an upgrade from my 1998 Volvo s90 all Stock to a modest but good performance aftermarket audio system. This thread is going to cover my Start to Finish activities on a 2006 Chevy Aveo. I'll share...

    Many thanks for the help...

The fun part of bolting it will be the fuel tank RIGHT underneath it. I could always make a brace and go in through the Rear Deck.

    Many thanks for the help...

Some things made perfect sense. Others did not. But I listened to my installation consultant (the guy without the beard) all along the way and tried to do as much of it myself as possible. Next mods include a box that would actually fit on the elevated portion of the trunk.

Ok, the process has begun. You all have been welcoming and kind. Here's my first install documentation. http://cincypiper.spaces.live.com/ Check out the photo album entitled... you guessed it... Car Audio. Its ugly as pictured. We forgot to photograph the door speaker installation but this...

How did you all finally decide...

My sincere apologies. In fact, I can relate to much of what you wrote. When I have my tunes going in the car it ABSOLUTELY is Therapy. Many props to those out there who feel the same. My post is agreeably out of place, and perhaps rooted in my own lessons learned from the perils of...

How did you all finally decide...

Hey there. I'm brand new at this Car Audio stuff, but not brand new to decisions. I've always found that sometimes Decisions are made tough by an unknown about your own desires. Being brutally honest with myself has taught me that I've made many huge decisions based on *OTHER* opinions rather...

Hi All: Bass Lover1, I bow to your Opeth Fandom. Opeth is the cats meow, dude. (I also like Meshuggah, Killswitch, Lamb of God, Unearth, Mastadon, Fear Factory, Slayer, Danzig... from that anger stuff to my bagpiping albums, a little techno and R&B too.) I really appreciate the astute...

    Something you don't see everyday...

Shucks, thanks. In a field like car audio, there are ... not many folks out there who demonstrate that they would actually like to LEARN something in the process. I'm not afraid of work, and would be happy to do some and be prouder as a result. BUT, my Volvo is by far the BEST car I've ever...

    Something you don't see everyday...

First post, folks. I have manners and am willing to learn! I own a 1998 Volvo s90. Great car, and very comfy. While on the phone with Crutchfield, I learned something about my car. It is a speaker *related* question, hence my post here. Rather than say "Which speaker for me", I'll say...
