best subs for the money $100-150

I have a xfl and I really like it. Its got plenty of boom for day to day driving. It is pretty clear too as long as you don't play distorted bass through it then it.

blown door speaker need advice on new ones

I just snipped the tweeter. Figured it's already broke so it cannot harm anything in the mean time and at least it will get the annoying rattling noise out of my music. I might be investing in some new coaxial speakers soon. My amp is the Power Acoustik GT5-2500 (RMS@4Ω 100W x 4CH + 480W x 1CH)...

blown door speaker need advice on new ones

I recently blew the tweeter in my rear drivers side door speaker and they are coaxial speakers so i can't just replace the tweeter. Should i just cut the connection of the tweeter so i don't here the rattling noise it makes (I do have good highs) or should I invest in a new set of rear door...

    alpine Vs polk

I have the Alpine SPS-610c and SPS-510 and they are over rated. On the box they came in is says they can handle 80 watts RMS but in reality its more like 40-50 watts. So just beware alpine overrates their products!

Alpine Type S vs. Type E, 2-way speakers, Which is better?

I have the type Ss and they sound good but you just have to know that Alpine's RMS rating for them is way above what it actually is. I blew the tweeter in my type S at 60W and it should handle 80W. Ive had this problem with my other alpine speakers i bought so just know that they can't handle...

    Right box?

Ok so my current box isn't big enough for the sub to even fix in the cut out. So I'm going to go to a local car audio shop and have one customized specifically for the sub. Does anyone have any good recommendations on what frequency to tune it to i listen to rock, rap, and electronic music? And...

    Right box?

I just looked and I'm guessing i have about 8-10 inches to the right of the box. I don't have a tape measure to know exactly

    Right box?

I don't have much more room i could maybe go up to about 2cuft but i use my trunk for a lot of things and it fills up when i take trips

    Right box?

It is a pre fab I already had it from my old sub that blew on me. It is gross and the port isn't very big at all. I couldn't find anything on the American Bass website about the box size needed.

    Right box?

I am running an American Bass XLF 1244 and have it in a 1.70 cubic ft. box ported and tuned to 33Hz. The dimensions are (W) 16.62" x (H) 14.00" x (D) 17.50". Is this a sufficient box for this sub? Will it cause any damage? Or will I be fine? I'm new to this above OEM replacement stuff.

How do I fix my headlights dimming?

Hi, I'm running alpine sps-60c's in the front with sps-60's in the back off of an Power Acoustic GT5-2500 at 4 ohms and I have an American Bass XLF 1244 running off of an Alpine MRX-M110 at 2 ohms (only have it pushing about 500 watts right now to sub). I have a stock 90 amp alt and an OEM...

    Sundown vs American bass

I went with the American Bass XLF. It sounded like the better one for the setup i have now and was a great price on sonic electronics. Thank you all for the advice on what i need to change next before I go any bigger.
