    98 Eclipse Hatchback deadening?

I was wondering if anyone has a 2G (95-99) Eclipse with sound deadening. I just got my stuff put in today and my 15" Brahma is destroying stuff. I have it turned almost all the way down and am not at all happy with it because of the excessive rattling (that and my rears don't work after I...

    What gauge for voice coils?

Alrighty. I'll hopefully finally get this box done this weekend when I have the time. Thanks for the help.

    What gauge for voice coils?

That's what I'll be doing. And just to make clear what I was asking, 'wire' refers to only say the positive wire, and then the same would be done for the negative. So I can either run the wire right through, stripping the part where it would run through the first coil contact, or just solder 2...

    What gauge for voice coils?

Now my only other question is should there be 1 wire run straight through to the other coil or should there be 2 wires, one into the first coil, then the other stacked from the first coil running to the second? Or does it just not matter? Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated.

    What gauge for voice coils?

So 12 would be fine then? I have 8 gauge to run from my amp to the terminal, but the 8 is too big for the voice coils. I think the 10 I can get to fit, so I'll try that first, and if not, I'll just go with the 12. Just wanted to make sure that the 12 would be ok since it'd be going from 8 -> 12.

    What gauge for voice coils?

I'm still not sure what gauge wire I should be using to wire everything inside my box for my Brahma. I have 8, 10, and 12 gauge wire here now.

    Noob question

I got 8 gauge from knukonceptz on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=14966&item=5745249914&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V

    Noob question

My nine.1 seems to be taking 8 gauge, and the manual even said to give it at least 10 gauge. But the amp to my sub box is fine, it's just inside that needs some different wiring and help.

    voicecoil wiring options

I have two quick questions. What's the smallest gauge wire I can get away with for my 15" Brahma (terminal to 1st +/- then to 2nd +/-). Second, should it just be one wire run from the terminal, through the first positives and negatives to the second set, or should it be one wire from the...

    Noob question

That thread doesn't help at all. I know how to wire it, besides the questions I asked. And I think he was talking about speaker wire. All I know is don't get 8 gauge for your amp to sub, it doesn't fit very well, as I am finding out now.

    Noob question

Not trying to jack your thread, but it's not letting me post my own and figured this was somewhat relative, haha: I have two quick questions. What's the smallest gauge wire I can get away with for my 15" Brahma (terminal to 1st +/- then to 2nd +/-). Second, should it just be one wire run from...

    8 gauge banana plugs?

Actually I've finally just found some as I posted. Anyone check these out yet? They seem pretty cheap, especially for accepting up to 4 gauge. http://www.madisound.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?cart_id=2734681.13652&pid=153

    8 gauge banana plugs?

I'm trying to find some 8 gauge banana plugs that are in stock and don't cost $30-60 a piece (thanks monster). I'm looking for ones that will take the wire straight in from the back, not screw it in from the side. If anyone knows where I can find some, I'd greatly appreciate the information.

    Quick wire check

Now I just need to find some cable to pick up. I must not be searching correctly, haha. Also, what should be run from the battery to the amp? I won't be doing this myself, so the guy doing it should know, but I was figuring 2 gauge?

    Quick wire check

I'm in the process of finishing my box and need to double check the kind of wiring I'm going to be using. I'm running a nine.1 amp to a 15" Brahma. I've been told 8 gauge from the amp to the sub is more than enough. Have I been informed correctly? If so, I'm going to go order what I need to...
