i had a jbl gto 12 on a rockford mono. 400watts @ 2ohms. i played the sub on high volumes and the excursion gave way. now when u push the sub it does not move on the suspension it is stiff. so the installer says the sub needs to change. think i did not let the sub break in properly and played it...

hey im looking for a shallow mount 10" sub. preferably dual 4 ohm and around 300-400 watts rms. can anyone recommend some good SQ subs for me. Im running focal KP 6.5 comps in front, focal 5.25" coaxials in the rear and a JL 300/4 Slash amp on the mids and highs.

i would recommend the Crossfire XP 600D. its 600 rms@1ohm. however it is very underrated. can go up to 750rms. clean and powerful.

well since ur sub is a dual 2 ohm . best use a 1 ohm stable mono amp. however i wod overpower it by 100- 150 watts, using as little gain as possible. the sub wod then have headroom and would keep a good flow of sound at high volumes, so worries of underpowering would be eliminated. budget wise u...

well what you can do is run coaxials in the rear and power them with ur amp. i'd use the fader so the front stage can be heard since thats the point of it. that should solve the problem. front stage still being the star of the show and the passengers can hear the music as well.
