I would but I'm getting new comps up front and putting the Clarus amp on those.

    It's dual 8, paralleled for 4ohms

Dayton DVC 15, need 4 ohm power....

That's my sub, and it's running off an old Profile Clarus CL800 at 4 ohms (subs rated about 600wrms iirc). I want to find another amp for the sub, still to run at 4 ohms, fairly cheap, and maybe to put out more power at 2 or 1 ohm down the road with a better sub (looking at FIQ15 for example)...

    Panasonic CQ-C7301U EQ adjustment question....

Not sure how popular (probably not very) Panasonic hu's are, but this is an annoying little problem that maybe someone can help me with. This hu has a 7 band EQ and 6 factory preset EQ settings (jazz, rock, club, flat, blah blah blah). I don't care for any of the factory presets, I just fine...

    re re comps or edi6000's

You can have overhead and not blow speakers....that's not stupid, just a little more risky. RE underrated those speakers to begin with.

    re re comps or edi6000's

I put 200x2 on RE's, gains were pretty conservative, but they didn't have a problem and I pretty much always listen to music with the HU turned 3/4's of the way up. They came with grills too So I wouldn't worry about grills or power handling in your comparison. I've read that the ED's are...

    SOLD trade bait

Coming to Jackson (TN) anytime soon? I live there and the HU sounds about like what I'm looking for.

Question about actual measurements for speakers....

Ok thanks y'all. Looks like 2-1/4 is as deep as I can go w/o making baffles.

What cheap HU can do hi pass x-over, sub level, eq....

Thanks. When it says 3 4V preamp outs, that'd be front, rear, and sub, right? Kenwood's site doesn't tell anymore, like x-over points and eq frequencies.

What cheap HU can do hi pass x-over, sub level, eq....

Can you give any exact specs on the Kenwood HU? Like what are the x-over frequencies? What kind of eq options (how many bands, what frequencies, blah blah blah). I like to tune and tweak, that's why I ask. My old Pioneer had a bass, treble, and 3 other eq bands. All had selectable Q and a few...

Question about actual measurements for speakers....

So I'm measuring the stock speaker in my car (supposed to be a 5-1/4), and it measures 6" OD and the speaker itself is less than 5. So how do they come up with 5-1/4? I'm told 6.5's will fit....but is that 6.5" measuring the mounting ring from end to end? Or is that the actual size of the cone...

What cheap 6.5 coax with good midbass?

I'll go to Best Buy and see what they have. A local audio store sells Memphis stuff....and I seem to remember a friend's 6.5 Memphis coax's having pretty good midbass.

What cheap HU can do hi pass x-over, sub level, eq....

Looking for a fairly cheap HU that has a few options I'd like. 1. hi-pass x-over, hu will power front and rear speakers 2. sub level so I can turn the bass up or down whenever (my sub amp doesn't have a remote gain) 3. some eq options I had a Pioneer 3500 that had all this stuff, not sure if...
