Looking for a fairly cheap HU that has a few options I'd like.

1. hi-pass x-over, hu will power front and rear speakers

2. sub level so I can turn the bass up or down whenever (my sub amp doesn't have a remote gain)

3. some eq options

I had a Pioneer 3500 that had all this stuff, not sure if their new line has all the same features. It was around $150, and I'd like to spend around that range again. Anyone know any options I can look in to?

Can you give any exact specs on the Kenwood HU? Like what are the x-over frequencies? What kind of eq options (how many bands, what frequencies, blah blah blah).

I like to tune and tweak, that's why I ask. My old Pioneer had a bass, treble, and 3 other eq bands. All had selectable Q and a few frequencies each to choose from. I looked up their new lines, but not sure if they still have the same eq options and sub level control on their lower lines.

I'll vouch for excelerater's Kenwood Excelon he's selling, great HU with lots of features, a steal for the 165 he's asking.

It has-

Front/Rear/sub preouts

each preout has=5volts with 80ohms resistance

Quad 1-bit Burr brown DAC's

Extensive equalization options with Q ajustments

Selectable cross over frequencys for front, rear and sub, 60hz to 150hz

eq,crossover, fade, balance, volume offset ,sub volume, phase and volume control accessible from main volume nob.

Motorized front panel with multiple display modes.

22watts RMS x4 internal power.

There are many more features that I havn't listed as well.

In Canada that HU retails for over 500bucks.
