I have a regular battery under the hood and a stock 103 amp alternator. I had the battery n alternator tested, they both passed. I have extra 4 gauge, will that b sufficient enuf or should i buy hot gauge for the big 3? Will my system pound harder with the big3? I bought the cheapest head unit...

My amp only accepts 4 gauge ground is on tight and shiny metalm

17 ft it sits at 13.7 until i crank it up ground is 5 ft long

Brz 1200 4 gauge . Copper ground connect on metal and gold terminal on the battey. But i had to ,cut it so it fit on the battey bolt

Could this be why my amp gets hot and gos into protecting mode after 5 songs?

It gets as low as 10 i tested it from the battery how do i test it from the amp?

I had the + and - from one side on the box going to the + and - to the amp , and the side side of the box doing the same , so the + and - from the box never touched, so i twisted both + wires together and put it in the + , and did the same with the neg

found out what was wrong , i didn't have my speakers wired for 1 ohm , i did inside the box but used both of the + and both of the - on the amp , what ohm load was I running?

i set the gains with a 50hz 0db tone by ear, turned the amp up until i heard a buzzing sound then backed it off. 4 gauge wireing and 103 oem alt ,headlights barely dim

Just realized my hu is 2v. Is that the reason why my system isnt banging the way I think it should? hifonics brutus 1200 2 sundown e 12's 4.1 cube box @ 36hz

0db 50hz , had the cross over on the amp at 80 and hu on 80

I put my head unit on flat, bass off etc , i goes up got 63 , i set it for 40. Do i listen to my system with the setting I did the dmm gain with? Its not loud as all on 40 vol.

I did the alt wire ,started the car and now the radio don't work. I checked all the fuses...what could be wrong? The radio isnt getting power
