yo fellow car audio lovers, Just got my P's today and i have a question about putting stuff in the boot with your sub. My boot is pretty small, just enough room for a 12" sub and one school bag (or slab of beer). Does it hurt your sub if you crank it and there is a bag sitting up against it...

just because you've stuffed a few shirts into the port holes doesn't make it a sealed box. A sealed box must be air tight and belive it or not, the air can still pass through your shirts. I agree with ThunderTunes in saying that ported and bandpass is better for loudness but I think you will...

I think my car resonates at about 50hz as well. My sub box is sealed, so I should have it tuned at about 45hz?

What frequencies do you guys tune your subs and rear fill speakers at? What would the best frequency to tune a 12" at? Thanks in advance.

Dude, I don't know if your trying to justify your comments on one little experience in a shop which most likely didn't have anything turned right. This by no means gives you the right to flame a respected brand like alpine. Bang for buck man, alpine kicks ass.

It a good idea for sercurity reasons to bolt your sub down. It also stops your sub moving around when you go for those long mountain drives. Cheers
