    the sx will be louder... i have one and the thing is rediculous, you will not be dissapointed.... just make sure that your install and your box are done correctly

    would the popping noise continue if it were wiring or would it just do it when they r initially turned on... because the noise continues while listening and it seems to only do it on the high notes

    I installed 2 12" alpine type s's for my friend the other day and i had also built the box at 3.0 cuft which is recommended for ported enclosures and when we turned them on one of the subs gave off a sound that sounded like a clapping noise similar to a wood clap when you blow a seal in a box...

    the screws that im using are inch and a half course wood screws but u think that i should try course dry wall screws?

    This has happened to me twice now,,, i have an 18" RE SX, its amazing, but i think it a lil too strong for my box I have noticed a sound that you would normally think of as a busted seal within the box, but what it actually is, is the screws that are mounting the sub into the box are working...

    well im glad to hear that the magnet structure does not matter.... i was considering the xxx but from what i had read the sx got louder with higher or equal spl levels as the xxx and spl is what i was looking for and i sure did get it so i am very pleased with my decision

    Building a box for a Resonant Engineering 18" sx it needs to be 6.5ftcu. how would u go about putting supports inside the box so that the seals do not break or the box doesnt just fall apart? please help... thanks

    when comparing the Sx model to the xxx i kno the xxx should be alot better... but from what i hear this may not be the case i have heard from people that the sx sub can actually be louder when compared to the xxx... What are peoples exprierances with these subs and is the xxx worth the extra...
