Got my LC2i today and installed it. All I can say is....what a difference! I'm really surprised. The bass output is easily doubled if not more. And my bass boost is all the way down on the amp and the gain is set to half, instead of having to max everything to get some bass. It hits so hard that...

Oh well...if that's the case, I might as well just sell my box and amp and spend the money just upgrading all my factory speakers and saying to hell with an aftermarket amp and sub. I didn't realize it was going to be hundreds of dollars just to get a little extra thump from my factory system.

Yeah...I want to keep the factory HU for the Hyundai Blue Link Services and Back-Up Camera, so unfortunately I am stuck using a dsp/loc to get signal to my amp.

Ok...just placed an order for an AudioControl LC2i. Hopefully it will help provide the additional bass that I am missing. Thanks for the help!

C'mon guys! I know my stuff is garbage but any help would be appreciated! lol Should I not have connected the LOC to the factory amp? Could that be what's causing the poor sound quality?

Hey guys. I took my Amp + Box out of my Scion tC when I traded it in on my current vehicle. It's a 2015 Veloster Turbo. The VT came with the 8 speaker Dimension audio system which actually doesn't sound all that bad. I planned on just leaving everything stock and enjoying my new found cargo...

I was told a couple weeks ago that my MB Quart OA500.1 monoblock amp was not 1-ohm stable by a Tech at Maxxsonics. That being said, I ordered a new budget amp to replace it. Something with a little more power running at 4 ohms. I got my new HiFonics HFi1000.1D today and when I opened it up...

I ended up going with a HiFonics HFi1000.1D. I'm going to just run the sub at 4 ohms instead of 1 ohm. Plus now I have a little more flexibility if I want to get a beefier sub in the future.

Update: So Maxxsonics did respond to me and informed me that my amp is not 1-ohm stable. Guess that answers my question. I'll probably just rewire the sub to run at 250 watts @ 4-ohms until I can get my hands on a 1-ohm stable amp.

Are there places out there that will repair a sub? Google search has turned up a few garbage results. I was thinking of maybe just trying to get my 12" Kicker L5 repaired for cheap in the interim until I can afford a proper setup.
