    Upgrade from CDA-9855 to ida-X001 ???

I too would reccomend the CDA-9887 over the IDA-X001. Only real loss is that you don't have the ipodesque screen to see your info on. Gains include ability to play CDs, lots more sound processing, and you still get similar iPod control. Jeff what kind of car do you have? The harness I believe...

Whats the Best Pioneer AVIC nav?

I would buy the D2 and updated maps, the D2 allows you to keep the map disk in all the time(it has 2 slots) , you don't have to do memory nav like the D3 (1 slot).Personally, I prefer Pioneer nav to Kenwood, and I sell both at an Authorized Premier/Excelon dealer.

Help instaling my gift from santa

Should have come with an installation manual. Installation will be about the same as a normal CD player, but you will need to run the nav antenna and bluetooth mic. Also you will need to wire the handbrake and parking brake wires, at least to switches to simulate the pedals if you want to bypass...

    Denon DCT-A100

I searched but found nothing. I'm eyeing one of these on e-bay right now as I've grown kind of bored with my Alpine 9835. Looks quite sexy, Alpha 24, copper chassis etc, but I can't find much information about these online. I know I need an FM converter cause it is from japan. Anyone out there...

Nice, I really should put mine in, it's been sitting brand new in it's box for six months.

    Ever heard of this brand?

If the name begins with an X the bass will be X-TREME! Seriously though looking at the price, then the product, and the fact the description is in all caps it's quickly inferred that it's most likely utter crap.

my system is too heavy for my car..

I was sugguesting an alternator from a voltage standpoint because that was the problem I thought he was asking about, not because of his engine's performance.

my system is too heavy for my car..

Good theory. Therefore no one should ask more then one question, especially if not stated in the title line of the tread, or attempt to solve more then one problem per thread posted. Let's start enforcing this limit more.

my system is too heavy for my car..

If you read his post you notice that he said it's hurting his car in weight and power consumption...

my system is too heavy for my car..

^ don't start another one of these cap threads guys. Everyone has their own opinions and don't clutter this guys thread up with worthless babble. An alternator would for sure take care of the draw issue.

My mistake, I believe the comment still stands with 20's though. I think you are on the right track by considering a single sub though. Should save a decent amount of weight.

Buy a bigger alternator? I'm surprised that you didn't notice more of a difference in acceleration and brakeing putting on the 22's.
