that is not a good match of sub and amp. your sub can be used at 3 ohms & 12 ohms. your amp can't handle 3 ohms, so you'll have to wire your sub in series (at 12 ohms) and your amp will be running at 1/3 of its full power. you can take a chance and connect it in parralelle (at 3 ohms), but...

well, your preout is low so that ain't your problem. i don't know why your fuses are blowing now and not before. but i'd put a 150 amp fuse (if you have 4 gauge) cause a 1000 watt RMS amp when turned up high would probably pop a 100 amp fuse. you could find a clamp meter to see actually how many...

tap off your rear speakers and run it threw a line level converter then to your amp. or if your amp already has one built in, you can connect it directly to your amps high level input.

i'd check the sub wiring, just to make sure there is not a short or anything else, take the sub wires that are going into the amp and put an ohmmeter on it, and see if it's not under 2 ohms.
