Hiss in speakers without an audio source playing

Yeah I did the big three and it’s a good ground. I’ve even taken the amp out of the truck and used a separate battery straight to it and it still happened, I just don’t want to keep buying amps if it’s something I’m doing wrong
If the hiss is still present without a signal and no gain, then the amp is bad or poorly built. If a friend has an amp you can borrow, try it out.

Okay, what are the chances I’ve gotten three bad amps in a row? I want to make sure I’m not doing something wrong before I buy another one.
Seems improbable, so a few questions.
What do you mean when you said "amp is powered on from the speakers", "took the amp out and hooked it to a different battery", and "I hook one up to my trucks factory speaker wires it plays just fine"?

I took the amp out of the truck and hooked it up to a spare battery to see if it’s a ground problem or if a computer in the truck was messing with it, and I literally hooked one of the mids up to a factory door speaker input and it didn’t hiss at all

So that seems to point to something in the truck. Try moving the amp.
