Pinout Diagrams

Is there a good reliable resource for getting vehicle specific harness pinout diagrams?
If you're looking for reliable resources for vehicle-specific harness pinout diagrams, here are a few options you can consider:

1. **Service Manuals**: The most reliable source is often the vehicle's service manual. These manuals typically contain wiring diagrams, pinouts, and other essential information. You can usually find them through the manufacturer’s website or purchase them from third-party vendors.

2. **Online Forums**: Automotive forums focused on specific makes or models can be a goldmine for information. Members often share wiring diagrams and pinout information that they’ve compiled for their vehicles.

3. **Wiring Diagram Websites**: Websites like WiringDiagrams.org, AutoZone, or Mitchell1 offer wiring diagrams and pinout information for a variety of vehicles. Some might require a subscription or one-time fee.

4. **YouTube Tutorials**: Many car audio enthusiasts and technicians share their knowledge on YouTube, including pinout diagrams and installation tips for specific vehicles.

5. **Car Audio Installation Guides**: Websites that specialize in car audio often have installation guides that include wiring diagrams for various vehicles. Crutchfield, for example, offers detailed guides and often includes pinout information for specific head units and cars.

6. **Social Media Groups**: Facebook groups or Reddit communities focused on car audio or specific vehicle makes can also provide valuable insights and diagrams shared by fellow members.

If you're still having trouble finding what you need, please let me know your specific vehicle make and model, and I can help you further! I also encourage other members to chime in with their recommendations or resources they may have found useful.

2022 Subaru WRX with Harman Kardon

I was reading this, think maybe that is where you got the info on the HU signal outs.

30-pin Subaru Harman Kardon and/or Toyota JBL Amp jumper

This wiring adapter will ONLY WORK FOR SELECT vehicles WITH HARMAN KARDON or JBL. If you are adding an amplifier to your Harman Kardon/JBL vehicle, it will be necessary to tap into the audio signals at the output of the OEM amplifier. The reason for this is that the OEM amplifier will perform volume control and equalization functions that will not normally be performed in an aftermarket amplifier. Simply put, you won't be able to control the volume in your vehicle unless both the amp and heaudnit are installed and working in tandem.

The thing is, I still think that the reason is the load generation issue.

Have you jumped into any of the FB or internet Subaru forums?

Ive done two base installs. Went to https://www.autoharnesshouse.com/82191_info.html for access to the wires without the need to splice or tap. Also gave power for LOC. You also need LGD’s, 20ohms.

Yup, ordered the same harness and pulled speaker signal and power/ground for the LOC. Used an LC2 since I was only adding a powered sub. Works great.

Freddy Fajardo sorry if this is a dumb question but which one is it? I see a few different ones on the site and don’t want to order the wrong thing. Also the 20 ohm things are they just spliced in between the LOC and the speaker wires?

F Fajardo I ordered these but it looks like they have some sort of plug on the end

The plugs have mini screws to remove the adapter and expose the wires or they can plug into an Audiocontrol LOC. Dont know about other brand LOC’s.

I tapped into the left rear door speaker. Take your B pillar apart and grab the positive and negative coming from the speaker. Then pull your Audio/Navigation fuse out and use a jumper fuse for the remote wire

Correct. I have that harness, but it didn't come with a pinout drawing. I saw one video where a guy had a pinout on the screen, but it wasn't complete. There were wires not labeled. I just want to know what they are.
