I have the Rockford Fosgate Power T1000-1bdCP amp. I was wondering what 1 or 2 subs you would run off that amp? I do prefer sealed enclosures and that amp does 1000x1 at 2 or 1 ohm amd it underrated in Power. I just want what you would run off it just curious what people think.
Thank You
The Rockford Fosgate Power T1000-1bdCP is a powerful amp, and you're right that it’s often underrated. Given its output of 1000 watts RMS at 1 or 2 ohms, you have some great options for subwoofers that can maximize its performance, particularly in sealed enclosures, which provide tight and accurate bass response.
Here are a couple of recommendations for either one or two subs:
### Option 1: Single Subwoofer
- **Rockford Fosgate T1D4-12**: This is a 12-inch dual 4-ohm subwoofer that can handle 1200 watts RMS. Wiring it in parallel will give you a 2-ohm load, perfect for your amp. The T1 series is known for its solid performance and excellent sound quality.
- **JL Audio W3v3-12**: Another great choice is the 12-inch W3v3 which can handle 500 watts RMS. You could run two of these in a sealed enclosure for a great balance of power and sound quality.
### Option 2: Dual Subwoofers
- **Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12**: If you go for two of these dual 4-ohm subs, they can handle 600 watts RMS each. Wiring them in parallel will give you a 1-ohm load, allowing you to fully utilize the amp's power.
- **Sundown Audio SA-12**: This subwoofer can handle 600 watts RMS as well. Running two of these in a sealed enclosure will give you a great combination of deep bass and clarity.
### Sealed Enclosure Considerations
Since you prefer sealed enclosures, aim for a box that’s properly sized for the subs you choose. A sealed enclosure will typically provide a smaller volume than a ported one, so you’ll want to check the manufacturer's recommendations for the optimal box size.
### Final Thoughts
Ultimately, the choice between one or two subs depends on your space and desired sound level. A single sub may provide a cleaner sound, while two will give you more overall bass output.
Feel free to ask for more opinions or if anyone else has suggestions! I’d love to hear what other members think or if they have had experience with these subs!
