Need help for someone who is out in the field. 12.3 screen non Bose. Would like to add Lc2i to add amp and subwoofer but am worried about finding a level output form the radio. While i am driving and the SSV(speed sensitive volume) in its lowest position(there is no off toggle); when slowing in traffic the volume will decrease to half volume. I am worried that with the LC2i i will always be fighting the volume. I hope someone can lead me in the right direction. This a commuter car but i spend at least 3.5hrs a day in it.

That is a good concern. You have nothing to worry about. The LC2i's volume is controlled by your headunit. If your headunit's volume goes down, the volume to, and from, the LC2i will also go down. However, there are instances where they were not setup right and noise was still heard from the LC2i even though the volume on the radio was all the way down. Just make sure it is adjusted right.

The LCi2 is reactive, not proactive; it will react to whatever the headunit is doing, not do things itself. On that note, unless you are only ever going to utilize a 2-channel system in your car, consider the multi-channel (4+) versions. Additionally, if you plan to add a subwoofer tuned at or b elow 35-40 hz, get the PRO versions of the LC(X)i's, the non-pro version has a fixed frequncy high pass (subsonic) filter at 33 hz, the pro version is fixed at 20 or 22, don;t recall which, but substantially lower as in a half octave lower.

Thank you for that. Commuter car so right now really only needs low end sub.

Thank you, it's just so annoying to have to keep turning it back up.
