Static Noise and popping when turning on

Dude is using a line out converter..... why has nobody suggested that the wires he is using for input signal may not be signal wires? Or that one of the wires my be sharing ground with noisy circuits.

OP Try wires directly off a speaker in the car and see if the signal cleans up or find the factory amp, if any, and try the speaker wires going into it to see if the signal cleans up.

OP tested the amp out of the car, on a standalone battery, with different speakers and wires, as was sugggested.

Problem persisted, meaning the unchanged variable (the amp) is the problem.
Can't blame an LOC for causing hiss, when the LOC is not in the signal chain while testing.

I tested the amp on a separate battery out of the truck and the hiss is still there, it’s a brand new amp and brand new speakers
He said he tested the amp on a separate battery that was out of the truck. Doesn't say he didn't still use the input from his truck to get the signal to the amp. Being that the problem still exist, common sense would say something didn't change... I am guessing the signal input to the amp. I doubt he set up a completely different stereo when he hooked up to the other battery.

OP: Let's make sure you have actually isolated the problem to the amp, or we all may be chasing ghosts on your behalf.

Did you "Try isolating the amp by hooking it direct to the battery, with short cables, and connecting an external speaker to the outputs, nothing else. Keep vehicle off." ?

Did you: "Even better (but less likely a scenario), connect to a battery that's not in a car." ?

Did you: "connect rca cables to the input jacks, then short the center pin tot he outer shield ring, to see if the hiss diminishes." ?

Did you: "try turning the gain to both extremes, and listen for any change."

If not, then you didn't actually isolate the amp as the problem. You need to eliminate all the other variables. If not, you can't zero in on the source of the noise.
