Static Noise and popping when turning on

Electro Magnetic Interference.
Basically, electricity coursing through wires can create fields of energy outside of those wires. Those energy fields can be picked up by poorly shielded (or even defective) equipment, and end up being unwanted sound.

Fixing it requires you first confirm it's there, and what it's from. Then, you either eliminate it, or get the amp far enough away that it's not affected.

While we wait for you to test: What amp, what car, what mounting location, what wires, where are they connected, are all questions that will help us help you.
Stinger mt600.4 for the mids, kicker 1200 for the subs and a lc5i pro to get the signal inputs. It’s a 2017 ram 1500 CC the mids are in a speaker rack above the back seat and the amps are mounted behind the rear driver seat on the wall, using kicker 12ga to connect the mids to amp

Like mentioned a few posts back hiss is generally caused by having your gains too high.

How did you determine proper setting for your gain?
i did the math to find the correct voltage and used a test tone but I had all th settings all the way down and it didn’t change the hiss at all

I tested the amp on a separate battery out of the truck and the hiss is still there, it’s a brand new amp and brand new speakers

Well, you narrowed it down to the amp. One last thing to try, connect rca cables to the input jacks, then short the center pin tot he outer shield ring, to see if the hiss diminishes.

If it does, it should make the output tot eh speaker dead quiet. If not, or makes it only a little quieter, your amp is the problem.
What model and make?

Oops, I see Stinger MT600.4 Low price but I've heard some good things about it. Try the above suggestion with the cables, and also try turning the gain to both extremes, and listen for any change.

I will try that, I had a different amp that had the same exact thing going on so I can’t believe this one is bad too

Very odd, but you eliminated a big variable by testing with an outboard power source, and also physically moving amp form potential
I shorted the RCAs and it made no difference just heard a faint click, messing with the gain makes no difference either. What would cause an amp to do this, I really don’t want to buy another one and have the same issue

There are any number of possible causes in the circuitry of the amp. Internal power supply issues, resistors, grounding, etc.
I would contact Stinger directly, give them the amp info (including SN), tell them what it's doing and what you did to isolate the problem down to the amp, then ask if they have any suggestions on what it could be, and if possible to fix yourself.

Even if out of warranty, word the email well and they may offer a swap, or a reduced-cost repair.

Okay I appreciate the help

Don't have static just a question I have a Kenwood 2 channel amp it's 170 watts rms x 2 at 4 ohms I'm trying to connect a Memphis 12 dual voice coil trying to bridge amp for most power done smoke 2 12s before I don't want to smoke this one any help would be great thanks in advance
