"It's inconceivable to Rob that there are and should be motives outside of profit. Of course, it appears that many businesses follow Rob's philosophy that making money is all that matters."

It is not "Rob's philosophy" that business exists to make profit. It dates back some 200,000 years.
Without making money, a business ceases to exist.

Why do you have a problem with that?
Why do you even ask that? Are you not capable of seeing the issues with pure profit? For example, planned obsolescence. Our news outlets have evolved into propaganda and rage bait outlets. It's pretty obvious that socialized healthcare systems work better than the US system.

Well if you had any actual comprehension skills you would know that is not what I am talking about. But you keep on rockin.
Again, I don't think this is a matter of comprehension skills. You & I are discussing a blatantly obvious fact; a self-evident truth. Rob just can't control his need to argue and be right.

I didn't think Putin was, as Trump said, "crazy." He seems determined to have a never ending war with Ukraine if he can't have the whole thing.

How businesses make money is not your view, it's just how businesses make money. Cute that you want to attach yourself to that like you have anything to do with capitalism.

By your twisted views I mean supporting unethical practices as long as it supports YOUR narrative.
It's such a simple concept, but Rob's going to pretend there aren't universally unethical practices - ie planned obsolescence. He argues just to argue.

I think the world is being dragged into ww3 by secret powers working in all nations to strong arm ai development, to heavily encourage usage of ai across the world to fight wars and control nations internally. Look at the trends in war systems and social systems: it's all an AI takeover. While all this war is going on AI is taking over the functioning of humanity, working our jobs and fighting our wars.

There are absolutely universally unethical practices, but that was not the discussion.

But that's not what Thxone is arguing. He is arguing that the private business of infotainment is acting unethically when they offer what THEY choose to offer to the public, and not what HE deems is appropriate for them to offer.

He dislikes the fact that these privately owned infotainment businesses are "reporting" on what they want to report on, and disregarding what they choose NOT to.
Sorry, but that's a ridiculous stance for a grown man to take. 'Might as well complain and say that McDonald's is acting unethically because they don't sell pizza by the slice, or that you can't buy a Coke from the Pepsi vending machine, or that Spike Lee movies focus too much on urban culture.

Private industry exists to feed the consumer what the consumer wants. If his wants were universal or even just very widespread, then private industry would cater to them.
Why is that so difficult to understand?

"Self-evident truth".
Are you the guy who thinks that we are not born with human rights, but they are given to us by others?

You are for sure stupid aren't you Rob. You keep trying to educate us by making statements we all know and have known for years. Then, true to form, you speak for me as if you have a clue what I think. To carry on further after your normal bullshit, you then talk down about people as if we are stupid.

The problem that I, Thx and the majority of people have with the infotainment industry is the rage baiting, sowing hatred, misinformation, deceptive reporting, etc. I would call those universally unethical practices vs your comparison of McDonalds not offering pizza.

SEE, YOU get it. Not to mention the turmoil caused down the line from people blindly following what the media is telling them. How many BILLIONS of dollars in damage has willfully biased reporting caused, reporting of outright lies? All so they could profit.

Love the idiotic food comparison as if it is remotely the same. Rob's an idiot.

Agreed, not remotely close to a good comparison.
