Current events discussion

Hey guy... if you got punched in the face, would you know that you were punched in the face? Or does it change depending on who is punching you in the face? Do you ignore it if the person agrees with your views or do you scream insurrection if they don't agree with your views? Here is a link to Homeland Security. They are speaking on officers being attacked by protestors in LA. Maybe DHS is lying?

Of course DHS is lying, they're just trying to justify the facist police state. They were telling the truth about J6 and rounded up ~1600 people to stop the facist.

Right, then you are just here to be annoying. It's backed up. Reality doesn't stop existing because you deny truth.
Main stream media is trustworthy on a case by case basis - literally. So the question becomes why is the generally left leaning media trying to help the fascist Evil Orange King create the police state he's been attempting to install since 2017.

Attacking the police is okay by MAGA cult these days.
I thought MAGA approved of attacking police on J6 and currently don't approve of attacking the polic? And if MAGA is or isn't approving of attacks on police "these days," then there are police being attacked, which you've been denying. I think your mental gymnastics may have sprained your brain. I suggest taking a break from board for a bit.

You either care about police being attacked while doing their jobs or you don't. The MAGA cult doesn't as you and many others have made clear
Yet you can't even acknowledge that police were attacked during the LA ICE riots. The logical knots Team Blue is tying itself in over these riots are a tangled mess; so much so that I came up with tripocrisy in an attempt to describe the lack of consistency.

The Trump phone. Original coverage map shows Gulf Of Mexico, so they change it.
Original marekting says it is "Made in the USA" which is a lie, so they change it.
WIll be interesting to see what else they screw up before it ever reaches market.

Will be even more interesting to see how many idiots pay $500 for a phone that is probably worth $150 at most.
We're already paying $500 for $150 phones.

Is it just me that has noticed Rob has stopped linking his sources? Curious. I think I understand why now. IMHO, it part of the left's attempt to avoid or control debate; shouting down conservatives, getting vax skeptics deplatformed, preventing conservative speakers from going on campus, canceling people, distorting language, biased reporting, etc. Without the source, we can't see if something is out of context or contains other information contrary to Rob's narrative.

In the case of Richard Rubin's OJ testimony, Rob doesn't want us to see the entirety of the testimony because Rubin suggests OJ hands are size large, says he identified the gloves as XL on-site,but later claims they've shrunk to tad larger than large and he also claims just 3ml of fluid caused the shrinkage. What I find very interesting is Rubin claims these expensive limited edition available only at Bloomingdales gloves were not treated to avoid shrinkage but they are designed to last more than a season but only 3ml of fluid caused 15% shrinkage. Rubin's testimony went on for days and is a lot less conclusive that Rob would have us believe. Fair warning, the testimony is a long read with numerous cross examinations.

And? That isn't what I said.
Interesting. Similar thing applies to Rubin's testimony in the OJ case. Rob lifts a section of testimony in what is actually pages/days of testimony. I looked in Rubin's background, looks like he's more of a "knows how to run a company guy" than a knows how make gloves guy.

LOL that's a riot. You are gonna say some completely different shit than I said then claim it's the same thing I said then claim you said it first. No wonder you say the dumb shit you say all the time.
We know common use of our language is not in your wheelhouse, but there are multiple ways the same thing can be said.
It can even be done using entirely different words. You should go back to school. It's never too late to learn something new. Unless you're dead, of course.

There's more than one way to skin a cat.
Multiple options exist to achieve an end result.
Shocking, huh?

Here you go again, right on cue disrespecting me and talking shit.
You really should see a doctor about your poor memory.

Don't dish out what you can't take.
Avoid taking actions against others that you would dislike being meted on you.

If I provide a link to information once, I don't provide it over and over again if I use the same quotes again.
Given the terrible memory of some people on the board, maybe I should re-post every single source, every single time.
Then again, the response I usually get is that the facts are "fake" (or some variation thereof), showing that the person never looked at the source anyway.

This post suggests you never looked at the source, either.
Did you?
Or did you reads it and forget?

The gloves were a higher-end cashmere-lined leather driving glove known as the Aris Light. Rubin testified they are 30% lighter than regular driving gloves.
He identified them with 100% certainty from a picture of OJ wearing the same model glove while sportscasting.
The same model that sold a grand total of 200-240 pair across all Bloomingdales stores that year.
Nicole bought a pair on December 18, 1990.

These are not mechanics gloves. These are not roping gloves. These are not asphalting gloves. These are not dirt biking gloves. These are not skiing gloves. These are not snowboarding gloves. These are not snow shoveling gloves.
They are a men's "dress" glove.
The leather is supple due to oils used in processing. What happens if the glove gets wet?
MR. RUBIN: What happens when gloves get wet, the water or whatever it is that actually wets the glove absorbs small amounts of the fat liquor which creates shrinkage.

Rubin very clearly stated they were not shrink-proof:
MR. COCHRAN: All right. And those gloves, when they were made between the period we talked about, 1982 to 1992, were they in some way shrink-proof?
MR. RUBIN: No.
MR. COCHRAN: Did they have some kind of treatment to keep them from shrinking?
MR. RUBIN: No.
MR. COCHRAN: The manufacturer? Not at all?
MR. RUBIN: Not at all.

Would you expect a (?)$150 pair of lightweight, fine leather driving gloves to be the same as a pair of all-weather motorcycling glove, especially when the guy who "responsible for the design, manufacturing, production, raw material, sales and marketing of all men's gloves." testified they were NOT made to be shrink-proof, and testified that the gloves presented in the hearing had shrunk by as much as 15%?

Since Rubin obviously knows little about leather, or leather gloves, can you provide YOUR explanation of why the glove that shrank from an XL to an L, and had a cashmere lining "dislodged" may not have easily slid on to OJ's latex-gloved hand?

Watch the video of him trying the glove on. Look closely at the position of his thumb.

Now, go put on a pair of loose surgical gloves, then try to squeeze your hand in a cashmere-lined driving glove that is one size smaller than you wear, while keeping your thumb "flat" instead of tucked like you normally would to put on ANY glove. Genuinely try it out.
Hell, do exactly that with your USUAL cashmere (or any lining)-lined gloves. Can you do it? Probably, with some effort.
But, be 100% honest and tell me you couldn't make it look like it's impossible.

"If your cotton Metallica tee shirt that shrank a full size from washing and drying on hot no longer fits, you must acquit".

Still too excited. Can you not calm down?
