Rob, if the US adds a person (agency) between them and China... they are by definition a middle man. This (Agency) as you called it is pointless. It is an extra step for the US government when importing for themselves. It would be like you ordering that bike you keep blabbing about but having some other guy go to the docks, pay the tariff, then allow you to get the bike. Pointless. You wouldn't do it so why would OUR government do it. But you are claiming they do. So, since you and I both know it is a waste of time and money I think it is one more thing for DOGE to fix.

• Import tariffs get paid by the IMPORTER. That's the law, not an "interpretation".
• If a government agency (such as DOD) imports a product, the DOD will pay an IMPORT tariff. That's the law, not an "interpretation".
• If the government agency contracts a middle man as an importing agent, then the middle man is the importer, and will pay the IMPORT tariffs. That's the law, not an "interpretation". They will pass that cost on to the DOD. That's just common sense.
• If Joe Citizen buys a product direct and has it shipped here from a foreign country, Joe Citizen is the IMPORTER. That's the law, not an "interpretation".
• When Joe Citizen's product arrives here, Joe will have to pay the tariff/tax/duty, if the product is subject to one. The product is out of the exporter's control, and the US has no recourse to collect ANY funds from said exporter. That's the law, not an "interpretation"

You can read the law yourself. it's in plain language that even a middle-schooler could understand.
I really don't understand why you continue to argue that your beliefs supersede the written law.

You want DOGE to "fix" the stupid tariffs that Trump keeps ******* around with? If by "fix" you mean "eliminate", then I'm all for it.

This post is about as useless as your alleged job chasing food stamp abusers. All this is saying is that the entry was removed? Really? So editing isn't supposed to happen? Making corrections isn't supposed to happen? Mistakes?
