Current events discussion

Fraud, waste, and abuse.
Spending paid time on "chemtrails" that don't exist.
Why isn't DOGE stopping this?

Weird. Why are they laying people off if foreign mfgrs are paying the import tariffs?

Cleveland-Cliffs also made a statement. Probably prudent since we know what emotions Rob is eliciting from his post.

"These actions will allow the company to operate more efficiently and in a more cost-competitive way for the current market environment," Cleveland-Cliffs said in a statement. "We believe that once President Trump's policies take full effect and automotive production is re-shored, we should be able to resume steel production at Dearborn." - Cleveland-Cliffs

Yes. Laying off workers when you're losing money is a prudent thing to do.
Like construction companies that lay off workers when they aren't doing any construction.

"Automotive production is re-shored"? So all the US mfgrs are going to bring all production back to the US, using US materials that the US doesn't have?
What about foreign mfgrs? Are they going to sell their operations to US auto giants, who will then produce foreign cars in the US with US materials that the US doesn't have?

Interesting.

I'll ask you to direct your questions to them.

Looks like Musk is upset that a Federal Judge can stop Dear Leader from doing things.
Such a concept is "insane" to him.
Maybe he should go back to school and learn how our government works.
