Sound stops after short time

I put in a lc7i loc and a dx874 amp and it sort of works. After about a minute or less the sound turns off. Both the lights on the loc and the amp turn off. If I turn off the car and then it back on the loc/amp will only flash on unless I wait a while. The most recent time there was crackling in the sound before it turned off.

Can you please provide more details about your installation? Specifically, how you have connected the LC7i LOC and DX874 amp, and if there are any fuses or power issues?

What do you mean hoe are they connected? There's only 1 way.
Got it. Electronics and no sounds coming from the amp means several things. 1. No volts are going through it. 2. Some thing called a DC offset occurs when the AC positive or above zero volts is connected and to a capacitor, and the wiring sends more DC into the amp, causing it to have irregular peak amplitudes. This causes the amp to shut down or no sound because additional DC currents into the amp causes an offset in the frequencies into the OP AMPS. No sounds. What it should have done with the capacitor there is pass AC currents, while blocking off DC currents. Instead it does the opposite, a DC offset occurs.

Ok so how does that help me?

Maybe it's your remote wire, you can use signal (sound) detection instead of remote wire.

My car, remote wire to AC lc2i pro turns off and back on every time close my trunk and sometimes door, so I use signal detection, fixed the issue. Some detections need the volume at a certain level to detect signal.

Just a thought, can't no for sure unless you draw up a quick sketch..

How is your battery? I'd check the voltage of your battery when the amp shuts off. Could be that you're dropping voltage too low. Also check the voltage of the remote wire as well.
