Is epicenter worth it?

Hi, so I was wondering if I should get a epicenter, because now on some music there isnt much bass at all. If I understand correct epicenter reproduces those low notes for the subwoofer, so if connect a epicenter I would get the low notes I need

It depends. On some older recordings ( say 1975 or older) the bass was filtered out during the recording because the large majority of radios of the time couldn’t play much bass. But the harmonics were left in. The epicenter can do a ok job of recreating the bass in that situation.

If you want bass in new recordings that just don’t have much bass, then it is almost worthless.

So Its not worth it, because I listen to most hardstyle, white girl music are there any other options for more bass because rebbased songs hit like a truck but not so much on normal music, I have 12 sub pushing 1700rms

To me the epicenter is just one more thing in the chain that can introduce noise...so unless there's a real need I wouldn't touch one

Epicenter tech was originally created for vinyl albums. Stamping vinyl with too much sub bass would cause the needle to jump the track, so sub bass was filtered out. The Epicenter would add that bass back in.

Rather than adding an Epicenter, I'd suggest using the bass boost knob or some other form of equalization.

Do yourself a favor and download Poweramp Equalizer on your phone. It's free and has a 32 band EQ and "lineout" gain booster if your HU has low voltage outs. Allowed me to bring back a lot of the lower end for my sealed Subwoofer.

I had the epicenter but recently replaced it with a DD Audio BSI, I love it, it makes music so much better. Also take in the factor of subwoofer enclosure tunning, but do yourself a favor and get the BSI or wavetec bass restorer.
