Current events discussion

And once again his bluff is called. Net gain: ZERO.

Inflation is just one metric of economic status, and I think YOU brought it up in response to five separate charts of other metrics that show better economic performance under Democrats than Republicans.
It also seems to be the only factor that other people point to when discussing the economy. Maybe it's the only one they understand, or the only one that they were told to pay attention to.
You know, the people why say the ONLY thing that tells us the state of the economy is nominal prices. Apparently a whole lot of them have never had a wage increase in their lives.

So no, no "Schrodinger's liberal" in action ('still trying to figure the reference to quantum physics, but I'll get there). You've been around long enough to know that I always point to to MANY metrics of the economy when comparing performance history.
I'm confident I haver never claimed or even intimated that inflation tells the entire story, and I'd be happy to admit I did if you could find some evidence of such.

Inflation under Biden was clearly worse than under Trump. Recession, massive job loss, massive business closures, massive GDP declines, billions or maybe trillions of stock market losses, were clearly worse under Trump.
Or are we going to deny that, and just say "Not his fault." because it's a pandemic?
Hell, the right-wing nutjobs even try to blame the PANDEMIC on Democrats.

Are we basically arguing that everything bad is the Democrat's fault, and the Republicans are responsible only for all the good stuff?
You seem to be arguing all good cones from Dems. You honestly want to pin the economic downturn caused by the pandemic on Trump?

Again I have to ask what use is an inflation chart or any other chart for that matter when current inflation can be traced back to Fed policy that originated at the end of the Bush.V2? What do thus charts prove when they show Clinton had a good economy? Clinton was an economic conservative working with a GOP congress?

Context matters

NEW: Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum folds, says she agreed to send 10,000 troops to the U.S. border after a “good” call with President Trump.Remarkable.Sheinbaum released the following post on X (translated):“We had a good conversation with President Trump with great respect for our relationship and sovereignty; we reached a series of agreements:
1. Mexico will immediately reinforce the northern border with 10,000 members of the National Guard to prevent drug trafficking from Mexico to the United States, particularly fentanyl.
2. The United States is committed to working to prevent the trafficking of high-powered weapons to Mexico.
3. Our teams will begin working today on two fronts: security and trade.
4. They are pausing tariffs for one month from now.”

And here we are yet again. The rest of the site is a ghost town, while this thread gets all the attention and posts. Clearly, car audio isn’t a topic of interest any longer. At least not around here.

Can everyone please take a few moments away from this thread and try to spread the love to other parts of the forum, that actually help the site stay in business?

Have you done any analysis on exactly what it is (or may be) about other sites that generates better traffic?

Do they have more general back-and-forth conversation about their systems?
Do they have more general back-and-forth about "safe" topics?
Do they simply have a much larger contributor base, and thus ANY post is going to get more traffic than a forum with fewer contributors?
Is it that when you Google "Car Audio Forum", "Car Stereo Forum", "Car Sound System Forum, this place is the second result in the list, but if you Google "Car Radio Forum", "Car Music Forum", "Car Speaker Forum", it's the first?
"Car Subwoofer Forum" moves it to 3rd place.

When it comes to Google search results, what are the stats on how many people never look past the first result they get?
Is it a case of traffic begets traffic?

I respond to posts when I am able to answer a question or give insight, but when so many questions are so very specific ("Which sounds better at 150dB: the XYZ amplifier, or the PDQ amplifier?"), they're only going to be answered by someone with personal experience, or with a link to ANOTHER site where the two were tested & compared.

There are also plenty of posts where a question gets answered or "solved", and the post has nowhere else to go and dies on the vine.

Now you're going to try and spin it so that "bigot" is not a pejorative? AFTER you painted yourself into the corner of being a Communist sympathizer by calling me a "bigot" for being anti-Communism?

Lemme guess: I'm using the "wrong" definition of "bigot". YOUR definition means "bigot" is a complementary term.
Man, you get worse and worse with every failure.
It's an adjective. If you are such a person you have to assign hate to anything descriptive then maybe you need to start asking yourself why. It's not my issue to solve.

Actually, the whole site knows who the issue is... I mean, what the issue is RobGMN.

If by your age you don't know that "bigot" is used as a pejorative and a derogatory term going all the back to its origins, then you have once again shown your limited intellectual capability and understanding of language.

Your lack of education and your poor attempts at spinning your way our of your errors definitely ARE your issues to solve, especially if you are going to endlessly complain that no one can interpret your babbling to your satisfaction.
Actually, the whole site knows who the issue is... I mean, what the issue is RobGMN.
Why is that? Do I not make enough suggestions for people to off themselves, like you do?
Do I not make enough offers to beat people up, like you do?
Do I not tell enough people to go "suuck diicks", like you do?
Do I not post as many lies, and then to refuse to back them up, as you do?
Do I not make enough posts defending Trump's lies, even when it is irrefutable that they are lies, like you do?

But yeah, nice trolling, and real nice effort at helping a mod who asked for our assistance.
You're a real asset to the thread 🙄

Pejoratives only apply to others. Another case of Schrodinger's liberal.
Yes. Thxone is using the word "bigot" as a pejorative. While he is in a box and is both alive and dead at the same time.
Pejorative - noun; a word expressing contempt or disapproval.

A jackass is an animal. But if you call someone a "jackass", you are using the word as a pejorative.
There is no positive connotation of calling someone a "bigot", all the way back to its origin.

As I said, he is not using the word as a compliment no matter how hard he now tries to backpedal and say otherwise. No difference at all from him claiming "go suuck diicks" is not an attempt at a ********** insult.
