Again, if the roots of our current inflationary cycle can be tracked back to Bush Jr, what value is that chart? That chart is stupid in general. Inflation was low (partly/mainly) during the Clinton years because technology improved efficiency and the advent of global trade, furthermore Clinton was a economic conservative who worked effectively with a conservative congress. Has nothing to do with Clinton's party affiliation. Join us in reality please.

Furthermore, to claim that lower inflation = a better economy is ridiculous. Do you not remember claiming the economy was better under Biden than Trump??? I'm a little confused. The Dems are in favor of higher taxes correct? Trump raises taxes (aka tariffs) and Dems are pissed, claiming the tax will be passed through to the end consumer. But if Dems raise corporate taxes, wouldn't corps just pass those taxes through to the end consumer or do businesses only pass thru tariffs? Are the effects of these taxes dependant on the party that passed them, for example nobody claimed continuing and increased tariffs that occurred under Biden were leading us to economic armageddon.

Inflation is just one metric of economic status, and I think YOU brought it up in response to five separate charts of other metrics that show better economic performance under Democrats than Republicans.
It also seems to be the only factor that other people point to when discussing the economy. Maybe it's the only one they understand, or the only one that they were told to pay attention to.
You know, the people why say the ONLY thing that tells us the state of the economy is nominal prices. Apparently a whole lot of them have never had a wage increase in their lives.

So no, no "Schrodinger's liberal" in action ('still trying to figure the reference to quantum physics, but I'll get there). You've been around long enough to know that I always point to to MANY metrics of the economy when comparing performance history.
I'm confident I haver never claimed or even intimated that inflation tells the entire story, and I'd be happy to admit I did if you could find some evidence of such.

Inflation under Biden was clearly worse than under Trump. Recession, massive job loss, massive business closures, massive GDP declines, billions or maybe trillions of stock market losses, were clearly worse under Trump.
Or are we going to deny that, and just say "Not his fault." because it's a pandemic?
Hell, the right-wing nutjobs even try to blame the PANDEMIC on Democrats.

Are we basically arguing that everything bad is the Democrat's fault, and the Republicans are responsible only for all the good stuff?

if we were truly gonna make a stand against russia/communism...then we'd have been sanctioning the living fck out of the eu states that prop the russia government up buying energy from them long before the first expansion into Ukraine...no money for russia means an inability to engage in hostilities...
