12 volt FM Bluetooth Transmitters only in MONO!

Hi,
I have tried a number of fm blootooth transmitters to listen to music in older cars. They all transmit in mono. It’s very frustrating. Can someone please help me find a way to play music from my iPhone to an older car stereo in “stereo”?

I have tried different transmitters in a number of different cars ( all with systems that play in stereo via FM, CD. Cassette etc.) It’s not about the car or the stereo system. It seems that the 12 volt lighter style FM transmitters only transmit in mono. When I play anything from Spotify/Pandora/Podcasts….. mono only through these little 12volt blutooth transmitters. I’ve even tried them in new cars with Bluetooth/ CarPlay etc. everything plays in stereo unless I play it through any 12v fm transmitter. Does anyone know if there exists an FM transmitter that transmits in stereo?

TBH all the plug-in FM modulator BTs I have tried worked in stereo. Only issue I would say is interference from other sources. Anyways, have you tried one of these in-line modules?

I asked this because of two things, some older factory decks have the ability to add direct plug-in aftermarket modules and there are cassette Bluetooth devices that will play in stereo.

What is install like?

You remove the radio antenna plug and insert it into the module. Then the module's antenna pigtail plugs into the radio. You then add power to the module with an inline switch. Select the FM station, link to your phone and you are ready.
