SMALL SUVs, hatchbacks and other cars that have great cabin gain and get LOUD easy.

Wasn't the Vibe a rebadged Toyota Matrix? I think the 1.8 and 2.4 in them were Toyota engines. The 2.4 2AZFE did have piston ring issues resulting in oil consumption. The 2.5 2ARFE is a bulletproof engine but I don't think they came in the Vibes/Matrix. Just the 2nd gen Scion TC/Camry ETC.

Thanks for that,

between the TC and the civic , which is better solely in terms of bass response and which do you prefer? if i go for the TC for sure i will be interested in that alt.

i was driving today and also saw another couple of hatches that may work well, pontiac vibe and gti golf.

I have not had alot of time to play with my new Civic and all the Bose EQ bullshit but the TC was impressive and came factory with 3 way front stage.(2011-2016)

The tc looks like it would get nasty! Small compact hatch open cabin no trunk design. I think 1 beefed 12 or 15 would be sufficient. What were you running in there?

I'm driving a Matrix and tbh even tho it has a decent cabin, I wouldn't put more than 1.5K into it without serious deadening. Heck... a Kicker CompR-12 on like 800W is creating new rattles to chase.

As for the engine.... haha... its a 1.8L Toyota and soldiers on at almost 300K.
