Nice! They stuck to the original sink designs as well. I always thought the Down4Sound amplifiers were banking on the looks of the old US Amps design. Now it turns out US Amps is resurrected.

Because they're costly, large, grossly inefficient and the human ability to detect any sort of distortion below 200hz is extremely poor. Advances in semiconductors over the last 30 years or so have made them completely obsolete.

You could almost justify finding a proper antique surfboard amp to have restored and put into a show car of the period, but the only thing that really has to offer is nostalgia and novelty.

That all said, Richard Clark still has his 10 grand if you want to have a go.
