Featured '67 GTO custom install

I have a '67 GTO which is new to me. It has custom audio system that was likely installed several years ago based on some of the technology . While tracking down a few leads which were run under the center console I discovered an unterminated connector that traced back to an Ipod which was used for a playlist (see pic). I also found another connector which had a device plugged into it but I not sure what it's function is (see pic). My question is; where should the Ipod terminate? I don't see any obvious connection coming from the stereo. Could the Ipod have Bluetooth capabilty, therefore not needing a direct connection ?

Could have terminated at another device that was removed from the car.

I'm guessing but it looks like you have an USB cable from the ipod, which I'm assuming was used to keep the ipod charged and the "thingy" on the left of the 1st picture looks like a bluetooth dongle.

That first pic looks like a male and female USB.... did you connect them?
Yes, that must be it. They do fit together, however the prior owner had inserted a plug in the female end. I suppose they were connected only when the Ipod needed charging. The Ipod has a Bluetooth link to the receiver so that's how it works.
