Unable to access lower keys on screen keyboard

Hello. I have an AVH-W4400NEX radio. I had to disconnect car battery for repairs on vehicle. When I reconnected battery I had to enter password on radio to unlock it. The problem I’ve got is the keys ( 123, spacebar, and GO) don’t work. When I push on them the keys one row above turn on. Also, the spacebar has the U.K. Symbol on it. I’ve called Pioneer and they were no help. I’ve read other reports of this occurring but there were no real fixes for it. The Pioneer customer service person said I needed to send it in for repair. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not really much knowledge on this but have you tried to do a hard reset? I know older Pioneers have a tiny hard reset button. It is the only thing I can think of.

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I’ve tried the reset that you suggest, but it didn’t fix the issue.

Ok, so I came across a post regarding fixing boot loop issues with NEX receivers. The fix involved replacing the SD card. I had called repair service and was informed the display was bad and the SD card would need replaced. I replaced the card using the very helpful information on the video.



The receiver works fine now. No problem with display.
