What Did You Buy Today

So, I broke down and purchased the Kicker L7T104 for my F150. with the space I have, and the box design I'm going with, this sub was going to work best. I should have bought it last week when it was $20 cheaper.

Lowest I have seen it in a long time.

Lowest I’ve seen in a while was $2.47 on Saturday when I was picking up those 18’s. Was about 40 minutes from where I live, a little more country out there and smaller town. I would have taken some gas cans with me had I known. That same time where I live the gas cost was like $2.77 or so, which was still cheaper than the over $3 it has been.

The cheapest, in my city, is $3.98. That was two days ago. Now, that same station is $4.07.

Those should work nicely. Kicker makes solid products in my opinion, decent voice coils that will take rated power, and perform well. I had a pair of the silver color CVR 12's from 2005, used them off and on over 10 years or so and I was pleased with them. I got them insanely cheap as like store returns, but they worked well in the slightly oversized box tuned to the mid 30's.

Thats a nice sub. It should do really well for you. Kicker has been around for so many years and still make some really nice products. I still like the tweeters, Amps and some subs they make. my old KS25 Tweeters have been one of my best purchases in a very long time and still work very well, and my older ZR 240,460 and 120 amps. Never seem to give up and work flawlessly. I used to have the older DVC2 ohm SolarBaric silver coned square 10s and 12s. my first big purchase in subs back in my time were the StillWater Designs series 10"subs(4) in a single cab toyota behind the seats and they slammed on a Hifonics Atlas VII with a Pluto and Vulcan(still have these two, not the Atlas any more)

I have always been pretty happy with Kicker, even though it appears they copied some of my designs and I only received a free lunch and a couple shirts for it. Their Solo Baric line is pretty sensitive with box designs, but when it's right, it's really good. Their lower line stuff is designed for bangers, so they are built for abuse.

The L7T was the only shallow sub I found that could handle 600 watts, without costing me a whole lot of money. I would have loved to get the JL 10WT3, but I can get two L7's for that price.

Nice!! I have used the A.Bass ES Series slim 10s and 12s in the past and was not disappointed by any means,on a PPI Phantom 1000.1d. I see now that the Hawk series Slims are out now. Im willing to try one out and see if I like those even and maybe pick up a pair possibly?

Yes, it was designed with the help of Steve at Amp Medics. They are great amps, I have many friends that run them.
