I was speaking to all the responses that seem to be trying to make someone look wrong... INCLUDING over trivial shit. Explain to me how the likes of yourself and especially Rob can form an opinion about someone from pieced together or partial information but somehow can't comprehend what I say if I shorten my post but still leave the factual information in there. Do you need to know if I understand the correlation between crude and petroleum for any of my post about the topic to be valid or something?
Of course "I need to know" if you understand the correlation between two things for you post about a top to be valid. If you don't understand the correlation, then that calls your post into question. For example, if you don't understand the relationship between money supply, the Fed, deficit spending, etc, then you're commentary regarding inflation is probably questionable.

You formed an opinion that quotes of someone’s written words, and explanations of his actions over the course of decades, were made up in order to create a narrative.

You formed said opinion even though you admitted you never heard of the man and knew nothing about him, and had done no due diligence on the quotes or the facts of his life.

Yet you can’t understand how I can form an opinion after actually doing said due diligence?
Think about that for a long minute, and see if you can figure out how your confusion is bass-ackwsrds.

It’s not a question of “should”. We MUST import so much, as our consumption exceeds our production.
And if we can buy it cheaper than we produce it, we’d be stupid not to.
Actually we're a net exporter (of petroleum). Ironically we're "forced" to import crude because of our ability to export refined petro products.

@ThxOne -- See how context and correlation affect the value of a post?

I absolutely did no such thing and explained why I wouldn't due to your post looking pieced together with partial quotes. Nice try though.
You formed said opinion even though you admitted you never heard of the man and knew nothing about him, and had done no due diligence on the quotes or the facts of his life.
You really love making things up and running with them don't you. Tell me what my opinion of him was and not your assumptions, paraphrases, most likely, probably crap. Tell me what I gave as my opinion of this man.
Yet you can’t understand how I can form an opinion after actually doing said due diligence?

I thought about it for 6 or 7 seven seconds. My conclusion... no way I can take your word of you actually doing anything. You can't even read anything I post without ignoring and making up your own bile and passing it off as my thoughts or ideas. Give me a break man.

On that same note then I will just have to assume you and Rob have no clue about what you post and argue so passionately about and will just gloss over it as cherry picked post from other sources with no actual opinions of your own. Deal?

Ahh so it's too much hassle to up our production and we should continue to line the pockets of other oil producing countries including those who want to kill all Americans. We would be stupid not to huh?
This is not 1825. We are part of a world economy. There should not be rewards or punishments for doing business locally or internationally. Business should be allowed to determine its own course of success or failure.
Indeed, we should be dependent on other countries that way when our government pisses them off or they let loose a bioweapon we can be cut off from necessities, food and other important items we could easily make ourselves in our own country.
See above.
Yes, see above.
Absolutely. But not on the speech itself. People should be able to say whatever they want, but deal with the ramifications if that speech results in something bad, whether intentional or not.
Shout fire in a theater if you want, but pay the price when you cause a panic or disturb the peace.
I said free speech, not the ability to control stupidity or outburst in public. You may be confused on what free speech means.
Nope. Except nuclear.
But I have no problem placing a limit on WHO can own certain weapons.
A mentally ill person who has said they want to go on a killing spree? Yeah, no guns for them.
According to you, a mentally ill person is one who votes for or voted for Trump.

Is smoking crack, having *** with many prostitutes, asking dad for money to pay for drugs and prostitutes, sleeping with your dead brother's wife, are these all signs of a mental illness? Is sniffing children on tv a sign of a mental illness? Haha

See? We'll get accused of doing nothing but bickering, but this is an example of what you do. You absolutely admitted you formed your opinion without knowledge of the man or any due diligence.
"Pieced together with partial quotes"? Demonstrates a lack of understanding of quotes and how they work.

And this is what you said about the man: "I only know his name because you posted it."
Yet you were able to form the opinion that he did nothing that was attributed to him.
HOW could you think the words could not have come from him without knowing anything about him?
Reminds me a of something said to me by upper management about an idea I presented. This is 100% truthful that it was said to me: "IT has not tried it, but they said it cannot be done." And then I did it, and said "How could they know it can't be done if they never tried?"

You really love making things up and running with them don't you. Tell me what my opinion of him was and not your assumptions, paraphrases, most likely, probably crap. Tell me what I gave as my opinion of this man.
No, I don;t make things up, or lie here. You and others hurl the accusation often, but never seem to be able to provide an example when asked. Funny how that works.
You formed an opinion that he could not have said the things he said and did the things he did. That the things were fabricated to make a narrative. An opinion formulated based ONLY on seeing quotes of his words, and info about his affiliations. All of which were 100% factual and true.
It was your OPINION of him and what he did. An incorrect OPINION based on nothing.

I thought about it for 6 or 7 seven seconds. My conclusion... no way I can take your word of you actually doing anything. You can't even read anything I post without ignoring and making up your own bile and passing it off as my thoughts or ideas. Give me a break man.
Keep trying, kid. But I'm not the only one here who has seen your ways over and over and over.
You are happy to argue, but you argue with circular argument, irrelevant tangents, declarations of your opinion as fact, etc.
I don't "pass anything" of as yours, except what you post here.
If you make several posts in defense of someone, then you are defending them.
You don't get to defend someone with words but then think those words "go away" by saying "I didn't do that".
It's like saying "I thought those documents into a declassified status".
Just like saying the words "I DECLARE bankruptcy" doesn't mean you have declared bankruptcy.

I am fully aware however it is irrelevant to my post. My post is factually true and no further clarifications were needed.
Except that in the context of your post, you were responding to another post about oil production and the US's status as net oil/petro exporter.

If I post "Trump is responsible for inflation," that would be a factual statement. Does that mean I should expect nobody to respond to my post, offer other information, etc?

On that same note then I will just have to assume you and Rob have no clue about what you post and argue so passionately about and will just gloss over it as cherry picked post from other sources with no actual opinions of your own. Deal?
You can assume whatever you want and create whatever caricatures get you thru the day.

@Buck

Here comes Crispr. Actual gene editing for the masses. Wonder why the picked sickle cell? Seems like a "loaded" group/disease to pick. Seems like they could have found a better disease to "cure."
