One has to develop discernment for what’s real or not. Iirc China destroyed any information about the Wuhan lab and the virus leak before anybody could investigate.

No, you look at all the evidence available and make a determination. Much evidence points to sars-cov-2 came out of that lab, and the US helped fund the research.

Why are some people so hell bent on theory that a bat spread this virus world wide and find it so hard to believe that it escaped from a laboratory that was engineering this virus to be more deadly and that would infect humans more easily.

Why do some people not understand that the U.S. can't just blame China and the people working on the virus because it would cause serious tension between us that could lead to financial losses and or war.

Why do some people ignore the fact that the current Presidential administration shows little anger towards China over the virus when the WORLD knows it came from China. Could it be if we blame China we have to share blame for funding the "research".

Trump was pissed at China and was on track to make them pay for it..... Democrats didn't like that did they. Too many "deals" with China... Too much to lose.

Because there has been nothing to show that it escaped from a lab. In fact, investigations have shown that it is less likely than other possibilities.

Since I can't personally investigate the lab, the workers from the lab, the supervisors of the workers from the lab, the public that lives around the lab, the animals in the area, and all of the people that are likely to have direct contact with patient zero, then YES I have to rely on others to do that.

So since you are not just "blindly accepting" any info on the situation, what aspects of the situation have you personally investigated hands-on that tells you this information is wrong? "the WIV's pre-pandemic research holdings included SARSCoV-2 or a close progenitor"
Did you visit the lab?
Did you talk tot he workers?
Did you see the list of research projects they were doing?
Did you autopsy (necropsy?) any animals?
Have you seen the virus through a microscope?

And before you launch into another ********** ad-hominem diatribe, read the question and consider answering it legitimately. It is based on your own declaration regarding blind acceptance or being force-fed info. To avoid those, one MUST be investigating hands-on.

There’s also tons of evidence the spike protein isn’t natural but is modified and was placed on the virus via gain of function, which is what they were working on in that lab. This virus is/was naturally an aerosol, but it didn’t spread well from human to human, so, that’s why they modified the spike protein to be like a key that opens up the ACE-2 receptors. The sars-cov-2 spike protein was designed to almost perfectly open up the cell wall of human beings, and that, plus the fact it’s an aerosolized virus, is why it spread so quickly. There’s a lot of ACE-2 receptors in the lungs, and people had lung problems from breathing in the aerosol and having it attach to their lungs, amongst some other reasons

Because I read not only the Grant I also read reports released from the WIV stating the work they were doing when they were available to read.
