I’m actually going to see Vai tomorrow at the Rialto theater in Tucson AZ. Odd coincidence that this discussion happened.

I would pay to see a concert that was solely Passion and Warfare.
For whatever reason, none of his other solo stuff hooked me like that CD did.

When the Vice President of the United States says we need to reduce population at a conference or presentation about climate change, you should understand that’s a huge deal. What she said was the truth, regardless of what they try to say she meant. Our government is slowly joining forces with global gov’s and global NGO’s during its slow collapse. They think there’s too many people in the world, and they mean it like dictators who start wars and kill a bunch of their own people. There’s a reason Covid-19 happened; look how many dead, look at how much the world suffered. Don’t worry; it’s to save the Earth.

He’s playing the 3 headed guitar Hydra tonight. Should be interesting. His shows are rarely just playing songs like they are on the albums. Passion and Warfare was a good album though and probably his most mainstream attempt at music. The musicians he has play with him is usually a nice treat. He had a lady playing electric violin last time I saw him. She was as good at her instrument as Vai was on guitar.

Mostly I like the ultra violent metal shows with a good intense pit, but I grew up in a music family so I do enjoy watching a skillful musician in any genre of music. Joe Bonamassa is likely the best show I’ve seen so far this year. He’s going to Red Rocks in August which would be a show worth traveling to.
