I don’t live in Florida so I’m not sure. I’d have to go investigate it for myself, and honestly, I don’t care enough to do that. Most of what you just said sounds like sensationalism political rhetoric to me, but that’s basically everyone on both sides now. Hence the reason I don’t care I suppose.

What can be done? The easy thing to do would be offset their defaulted debt with the US debt owed to China it's almost 1:1. The problem with that is it would certainly piss of the ChiComs, who could respond with export taxes or enact other measures to increase the cost or manufacturing, etc. The rich guys pulling the strings aren't going to go for that. They'd rather screw the bond holders and make sure average joe tax payers continue to pay interest on debts to China. Once again the little guy foots the bill to keep make sure nothing interferes with ridiculously wealthys' ability to become even more ridiculously wealthy. Yeah team!

If there's a split...neither side will do it peacefully...I've read some similar articles elsewhere. Interesting, this may be the solution to "civil war." However, this will lead to more polarized states. Where does somebody like me move, that would prefer my daughter have access to abortion, but not have to compete against ***** athletes in sports? I'm all for DEI, but I do like a well funded police force. Then there is the whole tax dollar transfer that takes place from (usually) blue states/cities to red states/rural areas - how (or do we?) stop that transfer of funds if we're going to be a nation of deeply divided states? What happens to companies like Disney for example that exist in Red & Blue states? Does Disney have DEI training in California, but not in Florida? It's unfortunate that we've grown so intolerant of people that don't think like we do that we can no longer live as neighbors.

Under the Red State/Blue State senario, there is no need to split. The Fed would have to concede some authority to the States to make it work. It's just like neighborhoods in the cities - white folks over here, Mexican neighborhoods over there, Asian live in these area, blacks tend to live in those areas and the ghey folks tend to congregate in this part of town. I'd prefer we find a way to get along, but this might be a better solution than a conservapub flipping out and destroying a Pride display at Target when they could just move to a State where Pride displays aren't the cultural norm or perhaps even outlawed or Dylan Mulvaney showing up to read a book with gender diversity themes at a school and pissing off half the parents.
