Hitler claimed that yes he wouldn't have written it. But that is complete BS. If someone is 8 or 9 years old & ranting and raving at that age what you are going to do to the jewish community if given the chance. Then sooner or later it is a guarantee you write a manifesto or book on it. His father beating him, being an alcoholic and god knows what else he did to him didn't help matters. He needed something to show to the masses, to convert people to his way of thinking and that is exactly what Mein Kampf did. It stoked a already boiling viewpoint of certain races, religions and politics towards converting people to his way of thinking. And scary enough it did what he wanted. Got him the money to push forward his goals, to get him the votes that would cause him to be named Chancellor. Plus lets be real here. The way that WWI ended with everyone punishing Germany for WWI, the conditions that they put on them, the monetary payments and so on did NOT help matters either. All of that helped play a role in Hitler coming to power as well. Because he knew if he could use that viewpoint on his people as a way of revenge a way to make them pay for destroying Germany that would also convert people to his side and his party. Anyone who doesn't think that then is stupid.
