Why would I? You just stated there's no way to reduce spending and pay down the deficit...so borrow and spend til the wheels fall...

The biggest problem (as I see) is people who see the difficulty in solving a problem and potential suffering in the short term...so they just claim it can't be done...like it'd turn the U.S. into a 4th world country...but in truth on the borrow and spend arch we're on will lead to the same situation...

We are already a 3rd or 4th world country in many aspects. Medical, Internet Speeds are just two off the top of my head.

Every person I know in the UK and it is around oh 50-60 people have private insurance as well for medical, dental and eye. Guess what it costs them less then 30-50 bucks a month US for that. Some are even paying under 20 bucks a month US. They have no wait times for any procedure, everything is covered, dental even implants are covered 100%, contacts as well, all glasses. Yet here I can't get any dental implants paid for even though my syndrome is slowly destroying my teeth. Every dentist has said I should just get them pulled and go implant or dentures but I won't not till I have to. And every 5-7 years you can just file BK just on your credit cards. Everything is cleared out and 6 months later have another card with no problems at all affecting your credit or borrowing ability.

This country is so backwards compared to the rest of the world in many aspects.

I remember a young Asian man coming into my store and telling me about using his cellphone to pay for goods from a vending machine, about his rectangular TV screen, and about a little device called an “MP3 player”.

They make up a pretty good part of our economy, I think. Maybe I’m wrong.

But they also represent technology. And technology is power.
We are using rocks and sticks while other countries are using hammers and screwdrivers.
Yeah, that shit matters in being a “first world” country.

Not only is their healthcare much much cheaper, it's much better. My wife was in a fender bender when we were in Ireland and required x-rays; she happened to be an xray tech at that time. After her xrays she commented on how much better their equipment was than the stuff she worked on and this was a rural hospital that is scheduled to be shut down compared to one of the top notch hospitals in Denver, CO.

In addition to the fact the Ireland has superior healthcare, they don't work their healthcare workers nearly as hard as they get worked in the US and they have better benefits.

We may have already passed the point of no return. Either way, we will definitely will pass the point of no return as neither side will even try to address the issue.
