So since Trump and Obama did so much better at managing gas prices than Sleepy Joe, what policies of Trump and Obama should Biden adopt? What was it that Trump and Obama were doing that kept either US or world wide gas prices lower (depending on if you believe the US has a isolated oil industry or accept oil/gas prices are global)? What did Trump do in his first 2 years in office to drive gas prices up? Is it possible that Biden has gone too far continuing Trump policies?
For comparison's sake gas was at $2.33/gal Sept/2016 (Obama) vs $2.68/gal Sept/2019 (Trump). That's a 15% increase at the pump, way over the rate of inflation during Trump's first 2 years. Was Trump not signing enough permits? What did Trump do more or less of or differently than Obama to drive up gas prices?
Biden's Sept/2022 gas price is $3.81/gal. So is this just a matter of Biden continuing pre-pandemic Trump policies and trends? Is there perhaps some Trump policies in place that Biden should reverse? What is it that Biden is doing more or less of than Trump that is driving up prices?
Curious minds want to know...
