Not even close, bud. I make a claim, you call me a liar you better prove I am lying. Most people learned this in childhood or they got their ***** kicked for calling people liars. I am guessing YOU missed that, huh?
You make a claim that you can’t substantiate, and you ARE a liar. Back it up or it’s bullshit. You should have learned that by 1st grade.
Then again, you should have learned averages and percentages in grade school, and you didn’t get those either.

It’s a shame that you ***** about me posting facts, but then you refuse to learn those facts, and look dumb because of it.

Go back and read again about burden of proof and how it works.
It’s not MY explanation (which you would call bullshlt), and it’s been around a lonnnng time.

Retainer. This is a fee to secure their services. It is not payment for their services. Nice try though.

Do some research kid.

Now if you actually comprehended that you probably wouldn't have posted that. You could have just said, Thanks Thx for the simplified version.

They still get paid up front for representing them. There isn't a clause where an attorney only gets paid if they win the case. That was so ridiculous that you said that. Attorneys are paid well before the case ever goes to court. If it even goes to court.

Don't speak on things you don't know about anymore ok. I have had TWO attorneys that were both "WE DON'T GET PAID UNLESS YOU GET PAID" and neither one got a dime up front.

Some attorneys do take cases based on outcome (usually lawsuits with payouts then they'll take a percentage).

Some attorneys use retainers as way to make up lost revenue since they can't take any case against once your their client

There's so many different contracts that attorneys use that your linked definition (while accurate in scope) is such a narrow explanation how attorney/client finances work...

I can understand that ambulance chaser attorneys (personal injury) would takes cases on a % basis. Most of those cases never even go to trial. I highly doubt that a criminal defense attorney would take a case where they wouldn't get paid a dime if they lost.
