It’s VERY much the same. The original stem cells used in vaccine development are just as long gone as the original cells that made you or me, or any other adult.

The original fetal cells are LONG gone. They were not used in the development of the Covid vax any more than your fetal cells were used to make the hair on your head.

Depends on the line. The line used for one Covid vax is from a 1970 or so abortion, and has been used since then to make rubella, hepatitis, chicken pox, shingles vaccines, and meds for hemophilia, rheumatoid arthritis, and cystic fibrosis.
Another line used is from a 1985 abortion of an 18 week *****.

The original cells from either line are not in or part of any vaccine at this time or in the past.
The cells extracted originally were used to culture new cells, not to be put directly into a vaccine.
‘Kind of like planting a handful of seeds so you can have plants that will produce seeds to eat, instead of just eating the handful of seeds.
When you eat a tomato, you’re not eating that original tomato seed. When you get the vax, you’re not getting any of the original fetal cells. No one is.

Roe v Wade made it a COTUS issue by applying the right to privacy to an act done by a person to their own body. Thomas is a conservative and the conservatives apply their religious dogma to the decision. Overturning Roe v. Wade was in effect saying "we will make this a non-COTUS issue so the religious right-leaning states can outlaw it and their god will be happy". In essence, the decision says a state can decide whether we have a right to privacy or not, depending on who runs the state.

It's not just privacy that the USSC blew a hole in, equal protection/rights went out the window. Justice Thomas not only wants to go after gay rights, he wants to go after contraception. Gov't bad, unless it's out bedrooms....

IMHO, if they abandon Trump, that would be pretty s h i t t y. He loaded the courts for them. They'll control the USSC for decades now. It's clear this the conservatives on the USSC (except for Kavanaugh) are activists and looking for the opportunity to change the rights we have as citizens. There are still sodomy laws on the books that go unenforced, but all it will take is one cop in some backwater Texas town to catch some ****'s doing some **** stuff and buh bye gay rights.

Now that it's common knowledge that fetal cell lines were used in the development of numerous vaccines and drugs, I hope the "anti-covid-vax" crowd don't lose their collective minds and start boycotting vaccines and modern medicine in general.

The right to privacy is constitutionally protected. Choosing what to do with your own body falls under that right to privacy.

Tell the judges they are not allowed to have surgery to remove a benign tumor. Tell them they can’t have surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Tell them they are not allowed to take viagra so they can bang their favorite hooker.
Tell them the state has decided because these things are not an issue of personal privacy.
You can be damn sure they’ll fight it tooth and nail.

Justice Thomas wants to pursue our right to contraception, so perhaps he's anti-viagra too. Have you seen his wife.....
